About this Office

Office of Equity Compliance Logo

The Office of Equity Compliance plays a critical role in ensuring that Providence College adheres to federal laws, specifically Title VI and Title IX, which prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, and sex, respectively. This office is responsible for overseeing the implementation of policies and procedures to prevent discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, while providing training and education to faculty, staff, and students on their rights and obligations. Additionally, the office investigates complaints, ensures compliance with legal requirements, and works to create a safe and inclusive campus environment for all members of the college community.
